Poukawa school goes to the aquarium to visit the dinosaur footprints exhibition.

The Wheels on the Poukawa School bus went round and round to the National Aquarium of Aotearoa. On the bus were 31 very excited 5,6 and 7 year olds ready for an adventure with the aquarium palaeontologists.  We were greeted by palaentologists Carol and Carly and taken to the special exhibition room where we were split into two groups.  Each group was taken to the lab to make their own fossil dinosaur footprints.  While this was happening the other group was making dinosaur footprints in the sand and exploring the special features of the dinosaur exhibition.  A fantastic tour was had by all and a very big thank you to the very knowledgable palaeontologists at the National Aquarium of Aotearoa.
